ROSE ANGUS

ELLE & L’OrĂ©al Paris

NEW TALENT

Rose Angus's Blog

About me

I completed my training at the Glauca Rossi School of Make-Up in 2005, receiving a diploma in ‘Make-up for Fashion Photography’.
As well as this, I completed a course at the London College of Fashion where I received a diploma in Hair Styling, a skill I knew would help perfect and enhance the quality of my looks.

Once I had completed my courses I threw myself into organising test shoots; working with photographers, models and stylists in order to experiment and create looks for my portfolio.

''My dream has always been to work in fashion and beauty – make an art of my make-up and hopefully one day see my work in magazines such as ‘ELLE’, ‘Pop’, ‘V’, ‘W’ and ‘Numero’ and to work on fashion shows around the world.''

I discovered the ELLE & L’Oreal Paris New Talent Competition by running over the pages of ELLE and then I heard through Glauca Rossi as well. The project was to create a make-up look suitable to reflect clothing designs by Julien Macdonald, with a scrapbook and a written piece to support it.

I loved the project and was thrilled that the designer was Julien Macdonald. I could flick through photos of his work for hours: the complexity and originality of each of his designs are so intricate; he structures them through a diverse range of shapes, supported by precise details.
